Headlines & Announcements:

Builders Re-certify Bedford County Technical Center:
President Dennis Olewine; Past President John Degenhardt and Executive Officer Dave DeBiase, along with PBA Endorsed Trades Evaluator Dave DiPasquale, conducted a re-evaluation of the Carpentry Program at the BCTC on Friday, October 13th.

This program continues to be a first-class operation under the guidance of Instructor, Rock Manges. Both Rock and the students are very enthusiastic about the program. Congratulations and continued success BCTC.

Rivers Bus Trip:
Special thanks to Scott Gottshall, Denny & Deb Olewine and Ms. Pucciarella for their outstanding hospitality in serving those individuals on the October 14th Bus Trip to Rivers Casino.

There were no nominations from the floor. There was a motion and second to close the nominations. Voting will take place at the November 7th Meeting. Remember, ONE vote per membership.

Habitat for Humanity Update:
The project is located at: 1814 - 1820 3rd Avenue, Altoona. Allen McManus of YBC is the overall project manager. Allen can be reached at: 814.329.1619. As always, Allen is looking for volunteers. You can volunteer as an individual or as a company for any time that you can donate. Please contact him if you can help. No need to be a skilled crafts-person - we always need cleanup work, insulators, painters, general laborers and other types of work.
We are also looking for monetary donations towards the build project or towards T-shirts to be worn by all workers on-site.
Project Status: The roofing is complete; siding is almost complete; interior mechanicals are being roughed in.
