The Blair / Bedford Builders Association is committed to serving its members and the Blair and Bedford County communities. Here are some of the ways in which the Association demonstrates its commitment to area causes and needs:

Represents more than 220 members in the two-county area, including more than 100 professional builders, remodelers, plumbing, mechanical and electrical contractors.

Offers educational programs and seminars for its members and the general public.

Sponsors an annual scholarship program for students in Blair and Bedford counties.

Financially supports the Altoona Regional Health System Pediatric Care Unit, the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center and other local charities (including one each year that benefits from proceeds of the Annual Builders Showcase).

Supports the House Building Project of the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center and the Home Construction Projects of Habitat for Humanity of Blair County.

Is a member of the Blair County Chamber of Commerce and the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce.

Partnered with the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center to promote the value of careers in building and related trades

Provided assistance to hundreds of property owners and housing consumers with locating a contractor for the job they wanted done

Provided assistance to dozens of consumers who had unresolved complaints with contractors
